Our Vergal Trust has been in service for the younger generation, rural students for the past 16 years, we are working in Kancheepuram and Cuddalore District in the field of education, enabling the children from the oppressed and deprived communities to complete the school education.
We provide notebooks, school bags, geometry boxes, uniforms, to 700-1700 students every year.
We run 4 free educational support Centre, 1psychological counselling centre , 3 libraries for rural students.
We conduct free educational tour and free life skills residential camp for rural students every year.

Presently we are reaching out to 700-1700 children at Kancheepuram and cuddalore district Our trust is organizing yearly residential camp, with a mission to interact more with our students, to understand them better, and inculcate life skills like creative/critical thinking, empathy, problem solving/ decision making skills, improving self esteem, we conduct free educational support centres to interact with them continuously ,help them in understanding lessons by playful method, encourage them to express their soft skills like drawing, acting, and develop reading habit. we organise yearly free educational tour to sustain their interest in education. All these help in prevention of drop outs and enable rural students to complete schooling.
Vergal trust tries to keep up the motto “ We shall overcome” and retain the childhood for our younger generation . It can be any means, like we started releasing children from bondage of labour from 2002, we have helped 60 children to come out of the bondage and complete their schooling. We have started free educational support centres for them, organising free educational tour for them, organising free life skills camp for them, yesterdays vergal students are todays vergal volunteers organising and leading vergal activities like reaching out people in needy during 2015 flood, 2017 ockhi cyclone, 2018 Gaja cyclone , and many more still passing on to the next generation the tradition of empathetic acts and leading in time of need"
